What Does Project Great Futures Do?
What Does Project Great Futures Do?
1. PGF can table at your event.
We present information about careers, jobs, personal growth, educational opportunities, ways to serve one's community and country, etc. in a fun engaging, interactive way using our career wheel. Advance time needed: about three weeks to make sure our volunteers are available and have all the materials.
2. PGF can invite other organizations to your event.
We have a list of many contacts who have inspiring opportunities to present. Advance time needed: at least two months
3. PGF can work with you to develop and run an event.
Advance time preferred: at least 3 months
What we do, in partnership with dedicated staff at your school or other location:
invite organizations to table
take care of following up on invitations (getting and responding to confirmations, names of who will be attending, answering questions, etc.
help you on the day of event by welcoming tablers, facilitating event, etc.
follow up after event by thanking presenters
If we partner with you to develop and run an event, here is what we need from you:
space for the event, including a good location in case of bad weather
tables and chairs for presenters
dedicated staff and/or volunteers to help with publicizing event ahead of time at the event site, getting permission from administrators/managers, etc/securing location, essentially everything at the "event end."
(it's nice to have) snacks/lunch.drinks for the presenters
information about your school or organization's limits on who may or may not come to present (how many, age limits, number of presenters, etc...) and any applications for visitors passes, permission to address students, etc. that may be required
dress code, code of conduct, etc. from your school or organization, so our invitees have some idea of what is expected
if this is to be a college AND career/info fair, if your school has a college counselor, ideally that person can take on inviting college and university recruiters using personal and pre-established contacts.
